Warren Cullar Bio Watercolors, lithographs, drawings, etchings, acrylics, and bronze sculptures - all of these and more are mediums that Warren Cullar has successfully used to express himself in over 30 years of being an artist. At the same time, he has traveled the world, taught art at the university level, and created studios in Austin, Texas and Santa Fe, New Mexico. Cullar’s sculptures are about balance; what each of us strives to create – the balance between spiritual, physical and mental. His bronzes are of stones, some broken, some balanced, others interspersed with gold “stone.” Cullar’s sculpture speaks of a whimsical delight in the creation of natural, yet imaginative pieces inspired by the earth in a uniquely different way. Whether used inside or outside, these sculptures are complementary to their surroundings, reminding a technological world of its basic, ancient form. Cullar’s acrylic paintings immediately give one a sense of the vivid colors and raw sensuality of the desert landscape, strongly influenced by time spent studying art in San Miguel de Allende. Jagged rocks and prickly Cholla crowd up to skies softened by tones of peach, yellow and lavender, with watery suns benignly presiding over the brilliant color combinations in the land. Pippin Meikle Fine Art is proud to present Warren Cullar’s bronze sculptures and acrylic paintings; unique art with outstanding color and form. A gift from a multi-talented and experienced artist they have found the perfect home in Santa Fe.
